OFF THE MAT
200-HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
LED BY SOPHIE SHAPIRO
A yoga teacher training for life beyond the mat.
This 200-hour journey is about more than learning how to teach yoga — it’s about learning how to live it.
Through asana, philosophy, meditation, breathwork, anatomy, self-inquiry, and the rich history of yoga, you’ll develop the tools to become a knowledgeable, intentional, and authentic teacher. But the practice doesn’t end when you roll up your mat.
OFF THE MAT invites you to take the lessons of yoga into your relationships, your work, your challenges, your choices, and your everyday life. Because yoga is not simply something we practice — it’s a way of learning to understand ourselves and move through the world.
Come for the yoga. Leave with something that extends far beyond it.

Yoga is more than the shapes we make with our bodies. Teacher training creates space to explore how the practice shows up in everyday life — from how we communicate and handle challenges to how we care for ourselves and others. You’ll learn to take the awareness, breath, and presence cultivated on the mat into the moments that matter most off of it.
-
Teaching yoga is about more than knowing the poses. It’s about learning how to hold space, communicate clearly, read the room, and meet people where they are. Through practice and feedback, you’ll develop the confidence and tools to teach in a way that feels authentic, accessible, and genuinely supportive.
-
One of the most meaningful parts of teacher training is realizing you don’t have to figure it all out alone. You’ll learn alongside people with different stories, experiences, and reasons for being there. Together, you’ll be challenged, supported, encouraged, and reminded that growth is often better when it’s shared.
MEET YOUR TEACHER
SOPHIE
A mover since forever, Sophie Shapiro came to yoga through a lifelong love of movement and a background in dance. A 500-hour certified yoga teacher, Sophie has trained across Bali, Salt Lake City, and Ohio under brilliant teachers including Dillion Chase, Kimberley Utama, and many others who have shaped her practice and perspective.
For Sophie, yoga is less about touching your toes and more about how you move through the world. It’s about curiosity, connection, getting comfortable with being uncomfortable, and learning to laugh when things don’t go quite as planned.
Her classes bring together movement, challenge, playfulness, and a healthy dose of “let’s see what happens.” With a deep love for the practice and all the ways it continues to evolve, Sophie believes yoga should leave you feeling more connected—to your body, yourself, and the world around you.
Forever a mover at heart, just with fewer pairs of dance shoes and significantly more yoga mats.
